Pricking Out

This video will show you how to prick out seedlings when they are around two weeks old. What you'll need is a sharp object to make a hole, like a pencil or a chop stick, to leverage the seedling up and out. You'll find if the soil is wet the roots will slide out just fine!

Poke them into the bottom of the hole, pot up to the first leaves, turn their stems into roots, close it up, and add a bit more compost on top.

Write your label so you don't forget what it is amongst all your other plants and pop them on a south sunny facing window, or outdoors if you can in direct sunlight

Give them a good water!

Potting out can be overwhelming when you have lots of seedlings! Treat this as a meditative experience, take your time, handling the plants with care and intention.
