Wool is a fantastic by-product that isn't just great to deter slugs, it also keeps your plants warmer and is great for retaining water in the soil as well. It's also said to be good to stop weeds growing through as well! Our wool is sourced from sheep that frolic in the fields up at Newton Farm in Newton St Loe. The farm is run by the family of Will, one of our Founders. They rear and look after their animals through Regenerative Farming practices. The cost of wool per kilogram has plummeted in the UK due to the increase of imported and synthetic fabrics being used more and more throughout our supply chain. By being able to use this wool on your patch, you are helping to create a local, closed loop system for a product that would otherwise be wasted!
